LCD versus Plasma TV: Which One is Better?

You should be wise enough to believe the claim of the many that LCD TV is better than the plasma TV is not true. A lot of LCD TV enthusiasts, especially sales persons convince you to this unproven claim that it is more beneficial to buy an LCD TV.

One of the few advantages, or practically the only advantage of an LCD TV is that it saves more energy compared to any plasma TV out there, which lets you save up on electricity bills which could compensate the amount for which you have bought your TV.

From here, the plasma TV takes the showdown away. Plasma TVs have greater picture quality as compared to LCD TVs especially during dark scenes. Also, plasma TVs are better when it comes to viewing the pictures it projects in different angles. LCD TVs on the other hand darkens the picture when you view it from the side.

The most important advantage of a plasma TV is that it is far cheaper than LCD TVs, especially when you buy in bigger sizes. But despite the many advantages of owning a plasma TV, it is on the verge of being phased off. There are also reports that some countries like Canada is planning to ban high energy-consuming appliances which includes plasma TVs.

To wrap things up, it is safe to assume that as of the moment, plasma TVs are still making an impact on the market, especially for those people who cannot afford an LCD TV. But time will come when these TVs will be completely gone in the market.
